Technology

The precipitation of uranium from an acidic stream requires the acid to be neutralised, resulting in the loss of the acid and the need for significant quantities of neutralising chemicals.

Using Patented Technology, owned by BMS Engineers, enables 85%+ of the acid to be recovered, prior to neutralisation, allowing the acid to be reused AND save significant quantities of neutralising chemicals.

This patented membrane technology applies to other metals like copper and rare earths, along with alkaline reagent streams.

The Membrane Reagent Recovery Technology was developed by BMS Engineers for the acidic process at the Kayelekera Uranium Mine (Lotus Resources) and patented.

BMS Engineers patented membrane technology has also been installed in an alkaline uranium process at the Langer Heinrich Uranium Mine (Paladin Energy).
