Langer Heinrich

The Langer Heinrich Uranium Mine in Namibia is one of the largest uranium mines in Africa. Successful pilot work led to detailed design being undertaken by BMS Engineers.

BMS Engineers developed and undertook the detailed design and commissioning of the world’s first bicarbonate recovery plant in a uranium mine, utilising the patented technology developed by BMS Engineers at the Kayelekera Uranium Mine.

“…BRP successfully commissioned in March and operating above design. The extent of this project’s success has far-reaching implications for the Langer Heinrich operation now and into the future. BRP is expected to exceed design benefit by up to 100% and establish a new paradigm in carbonate uranium processing…” *
